The Writing Center's APA instruction has been updated for changes in the 7th edition of the manual. A few video and module resources focusing on broader scholarly writing topics will be updated on a rolling basis. On October 1, APA released the 7th edition of its Publication Manual. This post from APA’s blog offers a preview of some of the changes, many of which simplify previous guidelines and account for new technologies and changes to academic language conventions. The Writing Center is working with members of Walden leadership to establish a timeline for Walden’s adoption of this new edition, which will be sometime in 2020. For now, all students will continue using the guidelines in the 6th edition of the manual.
